But if you are willing to roll up your sleeves and are hungry to learn, you could spend the next two and half years as a senior leader in a multimillion-dollar business—a business that is famous for making a positive difference in the world. 

We are recruiting college graduates from around the country to the Ascent Leadership Program. These leaders are placed into senior leadership roles at a Chick-fil-A restaurant. During their 2 ½ year “tour of duty,” Ascent Leaders are personally mentored by the owner of the restaurant, receive proprietary leadership insights, and apply those lessons in their full-time, decision-making role as a member of a restaurant’s leadership team.

We have open positions all over the United States, from Orlando to LA, from Denver to DC. If you are accepted into the program, we will work with you to find the best location for your situation.

Prior restaurant experience is not required. Ascent leaders will spend the first two months being trained in restaurant basics, then rotate through a variety of leadership roles, such as customer service, operations, human resources, and marketing. What is required…​

Compensation and Benefits
Important note, these are provided as examples of the minimum offered. But the exact details of each package is decided between the leader and the restaurant owner that they work for.

  • Base Pay: $39,520 to $45,760 per year
  • Health Insurance: Specific plan available will vary by location
  • Free meals: Reasonable portions of Chick-fil-A food for no cost when working at the restaurant
  • Paid Time Off: 32 hours per year after the first year

Upon conclusion of the program, we provide consulting and connections to each Ascent leader, enabling them to pursue multiple career options, including:

  • Employment at Chick-fil-A Corporate Headquarters (based in Atlanta)
  • Opening a Chick-fil-A franchise (owning their own restaurant)
  • Interviewing with a wide variety of companies looking for talented, values-driven leaders (we partner with boutique leader placement firm to schedule these)
  • Going back to get a Master’s Degree (with the offer a 25% scholarship at Regent University, if you choose that school)
  • Staying on at their restaurant and continue leading and learning (there’s a better career path there than most realize)

Important: The Ascent Leadership Program is operated by Swoz Leadership. It is not run by the Chick-fil-A headquarters, which is a separate organization. The founder and staff of Swoz Leadership who run the Ascent Leadership Program spent many years working at the Chick-fil-A HQ and have contracts to represent Chick-fil-A franchisees across the country for this program. As such, we cannot guarantee after Ascent that Chick-fil-A Headquarters will select you as either a franchisee or as a corporate employee. What we can guarantee is that your experiences in the Ascent Leadership Program and our support with your launch from the program will make you much more competitive for any role you pursue, whether with Chick-fil-A or elsewhere.
